These terms govern your use of itemsignal.com and the Item Signal service, operated by AI Guru (“we”). By using the site or service you agree to them. Paid engagements and enterprise plans are governed by a separate order form or statement of work, which prevails over these terms where they conflict.
Item Signal runs deterministic rule checks and AI-assisted analysis on assessment items and returns findings, predictions and suggested revisions. Predictions of difficulty, discrimination, DIF risk and field-test outcome are pre-field triage signals with stated confidence intervals. They are not a substitute for field testing, psychometric review or the judgement of your subject-matter experts, and we do not guarantee any particular psychometric outcome, accreditation result or cost saving.
You keep all rights to the items, banks and response data you submit, and you confirm you have the right to submit them. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to provide the service and, for paid engagements, to produce the agreed deliverables. We do not use your content to train models.
Do not submit content you are not authorised to share, attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls, probe or disrupt the service, or use the output to misrepresent the validity of an exam. Free-tier use is limited to the number of items shown on the pricing page.
Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page or in your order form. Trials are provisioned manually on request and may be withdrawn at our discretion. Prices exclude applicable taxes.
Sample questions shown on the site are reproduced from publicly available sample materials for demonstration only and remain the property of their owners. Item Signal is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon Web Services, Pearson, Prometric or any certification body named on the site.
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 for free use.
You may stop using the service at any time; we may suspend accounts that breach these terms. We may update these terms by posting the new version here with a new effective date. Questions: [email protected].
